ミステリタッチですが、基本的に巻き込まれ系です。
様々な事情により、仕方なく清治が立ち上がります。
短編連作ですが、連作らしく、姉のお紅が探している昔の恋人という謎が全編に渡って関係していて、最後の短編で解決となります。
つくもがみがユーモラスでなんとも楽しい時代小説です。
