ポイントは、藤井竜王との対戦成績が互角の稲葉八段と、直近で３連敗中の永瀬王座との対戦だと思います。ここを乗り切れば、挑戦が見えてきます。
残留争いは混戦です。レーティング的には最年長の佐藤康九段が厳しいですが、どんな相手でもある程度は勝てるのが会長です。
だれが落ちてもおかしくありません。序盤が大事かと思います。

残留争いですが、人数が多いので混戦になるほど順位が物をいいそうです。
前期は首の皮一枚でつながった久保利明九段ですが、振り飛車党の総帥として、今期は奮起を期待したいと思います。
