主人公は工場の会計士として一家四人の平凡な人生を送っています。
しかし、彼にはノーバディという別名があり、殺し屋としての過去を持っています。
彼の家に二人組の強盗が入り、息子は反撃しますが、主人公は強盗が持っている銃が空であることに気が付き、見逃します。
そのことで、さらに妻と息子から距離を取られます。
ある日、主人公はバスの中で暴れるチンピラたちをのします。
ところがそのチンピラの中に、マフィアの弟がいました。復讐のため、マフィアは主人公を狙います。
家族と地下室に非難させてからマフィアたちを撃退し、今度は主人公が反撃に出ます。
とまあ、こんな感じの話です。
とにかく、どストレートのアクション映画です。
本作は枠の構造を持っていて、冒頭のシーンがラストシーン（の少し手前）に繋がります。
ですが、冒頭のシーンだけでは意味が分からないので、枠を提示したというより、その後につづく日常シーンの間延び感を減らすために、この構造を採用したのかもしれません。
観客たちは主人公の秘密を知ったうえで、日常シーンを見ることになりますので。
この主人公ですが、バスで傍若無人にふるまうというだけで若者たちをボコボコにするのはやりすぎですし、復讐するマフィアの攻撃もやりすぎ感があります。家族を守りたいと思いつつマフィアの本拠に乗り込んで危険を呼び寄せる行動もなんだかという気もしますが、そこはアクション映画なので。
家族関係をテーマにしたかったようで、ラスト近くでとってつけたような夫婦の和解が訪れます。
電話等で声だけで支援してくる仲間がいます。
物語終盤で、その仲間が顔出しして一緒に戦う展開には少し驚きです。この手のキャラは最後まで顔を出さないものかなと思っていたので。
バックトゥザフューチャーのドクター役で有名なクリストファーロイドが主人公の父役で登場します。
８３歳ですが、銃を撃ちまくりの暴れまくりです。
評論家のレビューは概ね好評のようで、興行収入も５５百万をドルを稼ぎました。
