優秀作としては初めてで、テーマは「絵」でした。

本作は贋作つくりを生業とする老夫婦の話ですが、ドキュメンタリーで見た贋作制作の手法をなぞっています。
贋作に詳しく知りたい方は「ハン・ファン・メーヘレン」で検索してください。
ざっくり説明すると、カンバスや額縁からの年代鑑定をすり抜けるために、まず同時代の古絵画を買い求めます。
次にカンバスに描かれている古い絵をすべて剥ぎ取り、当時の絵具を用い、作家のタッチを模倣して描いてきます。
完成した絵は、年月を得ているように見せるため、加熱処理等を施して完成です。
本作では、このうち、古い絵を買い取るシーンを切り取って、短編にしてみました。
オチが「実は贋作のために古い絵を買い取っていた」なので、そこから逆算してキャラや設定を作っていますが、いまいちだったかもしれません。
むしろ「贋作つくりのために古い絵を探している」からスタートした方が良かったように感じます。
こうして、いろいろなパターンを考えるのが大事ということで。
