第80期名人戦第３局（渡辺明名人VS斎藤慎太郎八段）

渡辺名人の２勝０敗で迎えた第３局です。

△５五角の筋があるのに、先手渡辺名人が歩交換を目指したため、序盤から乱戦模様となります。

後手２五桂馬に渡辺名人は「大駒は近づけて受けよ」の手筋で２八歩と放ちますが、後手に取ってもらえず、桂損の上に一手パスになってしまいます。
競り合いの終盤でこのミスは痛いです。
斎藤八段は時間のないなか、あとは間違えずに手堅く渡辺玉を寄せ切り、逆転でうれしい本シリーズ初勝利を挙げました。
