高齢者に絞った犯罪心理学です。

本書は論文集みたいな感じです。
各章の著者がそれぞれの分野における高齢者の犯罪について統計学的分析をほどこすのですが、研究途上の分野ということもあり、まだまだという感じがします。
「老人の犯罪が増えたのではなく、犯罪の多い世代が老人になった」
「高齢者は交通事故が多い」
というのは統計的にはいえないようです。
新聞記事を元にした分析もありましたが、新聞記事は読者が読みたい記事や記者が伝えたい記事を書くので、世の中を正確に反映していない可能性があることが少し気にかかりました。
高齢者となり、孤独感や喪失感が犯罪に繋がるという分析には同感です。
